We are experienced owners and registered breeders. Makonde , our affix, is registered at the Fédération Cynologique Internationale.
All our dogs live with us on our small ranch in Lugo Reserve of the Biosphere, Spain, where we also hold a licence as Zoological Nucleus.
We have a list open for reservations, therefore please call anytime for a chat and to choose gender and pet. Prices are negotiable upon requirements of new owners and range from 1 to 3 thousand euro depending on the individual, if suitable for breeding or showing.
Puppies will be registered, dewormed, vaccinated and ready to move to their new homes as from mid of May 2024.
We are also offering our own transport to any country of EU as from that dated if need it.
We are traveling by road to France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria, Germany and Italy so far.

Our Commitment to the Rhodesian ridgeback is through sound, selective breeding practices. We strive for a healthy, intelligent, well-rounded offspring that exhibits versatility, athleticism, agility, proper size and substance, while being both physically and mentally sound puppies.

CACAO is free of any genetically transmittable problem and in addition he is a carrier of a double ridge gene.
The result shows Dominant Homozygote (R/R) - 2 ridge genes.
The result interpretation is that a Dominant homozygote (R/R) possesses 2 ridge genes and passes 1 ridge gene to the offspring. Ridge is a dominant trait, therefore all puppies of a dominant homozygote have ridge. Very rarely, the ridge gene might be suppressed breeding with a Stud dog with 2 ridge genes.
